I am trying to find a countersink bit with these criteria:

• Integral pilot hole drill bit
• Sized for #8 screws only (don't need a whole set)
• Replaceable standard size bit
• Depth stop, one that does not mar melamine
• Does not cost $30-45 dollars like all I've found

 

Anyone know of any?

Thanks for the offer.  I found Lee Valley has some collars for a few bucks as long as our OD is one of two different sizes.   Will see if someone else carries them so we don't pay $10 shipping on a $3 part.  Will check Grainger, Fastenal, and some of the other big suppliers tomorrow.

I've used this one but have not used it on melamine. It comes with a tapered bit but use can use a standard bit if you with.

On the way to town this weekend...you can stop in at the Menard's.....next to where they sell Kreg stuff, and clock parts....they do have a set.....and then check over in the drill bit section....
