Makita Wheel Barrow

My goodness! We certainly are getting fancy with our wheel barrows aren't we? I am not sure what to think of this, I guess perhaps if I had physical limitations and needed the assistance, but jeez, how many of these do you think they have sold?

Thinking more on it, perhaps for very heavy loads? Concrete etc? I've never seen this on any jobsite I been on, been building bridges and roads for over 20 years and the guys still use a traditional wheel barrow to haul around odds n ends and the occasional mortar mix.

I've seen  motorized ones for concrete, but they were gas engines. I can't imagine those batteries lasting very long if the loads were that heavy.

All the years Fred, I've never seen one period! But I'm in large structures construction, if you need a load of crete or mortar they just call on the loader to bring it over or it's a huge bucket strapped to a crane and dropped right at their feet.

John walking a wheel barrow full of liquid concrete through a job site you know how very hard it is to keep the wheel barrow from tipping over. I'm afraid folks that use this type will have a learning curve to muster....

and like Fred says the motorized models have a much wider wheel base to make up for the guys not there to keep them from tipping over.

These might end up for the ladies of the house transporting their heavy flower pots from one place to the other. The ones that might weigh a pound or less...

:ChinScratch:...If they sold one, it would be more than I'd buy! <_<

Price may sound more reasonable if say you were hosting a party and you filled it full of ice cold beer and kept the quests well supplied.

Probably happen anyway because they would show up having heard you did something magical, SPENT SOME CASH!!

Or because the neighbor posted on social media, look what my crazy neighbor bought.

Looking at the construction  of the wheelbarrow I'd say it isn't designed for heavy loads. Looks like a really small load capacity. Why bother?

Sadly some contractors will weigh the cost of these against the cost of some lightweight's injury claim and find it to be worth the investment.
