keyboard table

Featured Replies

My musically talented grand-daughter (15, sings, does musical theater, church musician, piano, clarinet, teaches, arranges and taught herself ukulele, guitar and bass guitar this year) got an electronic keyboard this week.   I need to make her a table for it.   Anyone done anything like this?  Top needs to be about 17" deep and 39" wide.

Just a "normal" table?

Top is a glue up...

Or....more of a Sofa Table style?

Or...make the table's legs in a "Z" shape?   maybe add a couple stretchers?   Maybe a "Brace" from halfway down the angle section, back up to the rear at the top...

Take a look at stand for keyboards and that will give you a good idea where to start, To me comfort of the user is paramount.

I would think something simple and light weight would work Ok.  Danl

Good ideas.  Thanks.   If possible, she'd like a "box" under the top, next to the legs to hold sheet music.  I made a "cutting table" for my wife a few years ago.  It has a removable top and the legs fold in so it is collapsible for when we have a house full of grandkids.   Collapsible is not an absolute requirement for this one.
