Porch swings

I know way back when, most of our families had porch swings. Nearly all were made by hand, I've made a few too. As I was preparing mine for winter, some memories came back of years past.  I'm sure that we all have memories of the time the swing chain broke. My family sure did and I still snicker when I think about that time so long ago. No one got hurt, but someone laughed so hard she peed herself.:D

Never saw a chain break but remember swinging at grandpa's house.  I built one for me and the chain rusted after so I replaces it with stainless chain a few years ago.

never had a porch swing, but we used to break the chains on the swing sets with regularity.  :BugEyeSmiley:

Had one form 20 years on the hot tub building porch.  Go used some at first, then by the kids, then finally but the cats.  Got rid of it last year on the deck rebuild.
