I started this with no plans. All ash except the spalted maple something on top. No finish on the top piece yet even though I started cutting out pieces about ten years ago. 9" wide and 15" tall.. I made a number to these things with different shapes and sizes but all have the same size opening so I could switch tops for I never know which might look the best and this way the customer could pick and choose the top they liked the best.1359648151_IMG_20201116_204808559bowlwithredtop.jpg.6e723acb9543a4092240633a8592bc0a.jpgIMG_20201116_204824345.jpg.9bc77d25bc5eda59056a2c6bd671af10.jpg

I don't go by any period of time when I'm thinking and most of the time I lay out pieces that was left from other projects and this determines what size things will be... The dowel in the middle of the lid was supposed to be removed after I got all those curley things glued in but its stuck so it part of the plan to be there....

Anything that can be partly made with the scroll saw was what I was after and it usually ends up using less wood so that part suited me also.

I just noticed Fred was looking for some plans for a bowl so I might suggest winging it and make your own plans!

:Praise:

Way beyond me.  Looks awesome 👍
