A bit of sanding on the inside and the rim and I think this one will be ready for some finish....

So far I'm only up to 60 grit on the inside of the bowl.  Its taking quite a bit to hand sand down all of the tool marks on the inside of the bowl itself.  I also got the second blank cut out on the band saw and ready to go so its moving along quite well with these too along with stopping to edit video and download which takes time....

Andrew, I am not a turner and I have never turned a bowl, so l don't know the answer - but why does the inside of the bowl turn with so much coarseness left compared to the outside?  Is that normal, or just tooling/technique that will improve with more experience?

The second of the two maple bowls did it this evening its starting to turn out nicely.  It is sanded on the outside to 600 grit.

A great way to get away from todays DISTRACTIONS ESPECIALLY TODAY.  The second bowl is hollowed out.  Its taking quite a bit more sanding than I had anticipated on the 60 grit trying to get rid of a lot of the tool marks.  But making a lot of progress I'm hoping to get this one at least the bowl form finished with sanding and stained today.  I also have 3 Mrytle wood blanks coming into day and I have 2 more walnut claro blanks on order.
