October 26, 20205 yr Popular Post comment_246340 I wasn’t sure to put this here or in the CNC category. The wife got some new steak knives and requested a tray for them. I designed it with Fusion 360 and then used the Shaper Origin to router it. Wicked knives. I think they are the sharpest knives I have ever seen on delivery. They are scalpel sharp. Quick little project but fun. Paul Report
October 26, 20205 yr comment_246392 How and where will you display the tray. The reason I ask, most people don't have extra room for a tray that big so like we did after we bought a set of steak knives at Sam's many years ago was to build holders that fit on the back of the cabinet doors. Kinda like wasted space or unused space and makes them real handy for the kitchen. And since we had some small kids back then notice that I made the slots so the tips of the knives are up against the back so if little fingers reaches up there it would be harder to get a serious wound. October 27, 20205 yr Author Popular Post comment_246459 That's a great idea ! I asked my boss if she wanted me to make one and she said no but asked if I could mount a holder for her Smith and Wesson on a cabinet door. Not sure about that one. We tend to argue over dinner a lot 😎 Report
