Started off on a new project this morning.  Got it in the works already.  This one is turning out already 100 times better shaped it in a matter of minutes.  Started sanding on it its only at 60 grit but that took care of pretty much all of the tool marks on the outside of the bowl so I'm quite happy with this one.  I think I will keep working with the tung oil finish on it.  It should work quite well...  It did okay with the purple heart I just had to do three coats of it instead of one or two.  But the main reason I dislike this type of wood is the danged orange dust it just gets every where.   Glad I have an air compressor with a blower air blower piece.  But this one is turning out quite nicely.

Once again caked in orange dust from the padauk how ever its turning out nicely yet still.  On the hollowing it just seems a bit awkward at the moment but its going some what smoothly.

Wound up getting a nasty crack from sanding the bowl down.  I was going to ask for suggestions on how to fix this how ever I just took the gouge and cut it down a half inch and it worked out fine how ever the bowl is a lot smaller than it normally would be oh well.  Glad I wasn't recording that.

Even with the mishalf of the cracked top of the bowl I managed to come out with something that looks quite nice its a lot smaller but still a nice looking bowl.

A nice finishing touch added to the final product.  Got my wood burner this afternoon.

Thanks I was a bit frustrated when the wall of the bowl decided it wanted to crack on me when sanding and that I had to basically chop off a half inch of the wall oh well crap happens.
