August 26, 20205 yr I was not gifted with any creative genes in my formation, so I always have to go with some inspiration from another source for anything I do. So the current question has to do with the PO box doors, and various projects built with them. I'm looking for a book(s) that might have ideas specific to the doors and can't find any. Does anyone know if there was some ever published? I have probably 10 of these doors in 3 sizes on hand and would like to go ahead and built some things using them.
August 26, 20205 yr No book but I have built a large box . Maybe 10 x 12 for a large door. Used raised panel bit for the center panel . Think that was lacewood with cherry box and bloodwood trim. This can either sit with door upright or facing forward. Also wife bought a bank just the size of a small one with a brass coin slot on top. Edited August 26, 20205 yr by Gerald

August 26, 20205 yr Author Thanks guys. Lew some things like that PO truck over at LJ and another I saw was in the shape of a street mailbox were 2 I've seen that I really liked.
August 26, 20205 yr I can't answer your question(s), but look for a wooden toy truck plan and add the PO box door to the back side of the truck box. Danl
August 26, 20205 yr Author You know, Danl, you gave me an idea. There was a company called Meisel something-or-other that used to send me catalogs. They were small woodworking project plans that included clocks, toys, and all kinds of stuff. If they are still in business it might be a good place to check out. As soon as I finish this I'm going to search their website.
August 27, 20205 yr You might try a search on Pinterest also. I've spent a lot of time there, just looking at stuff.
