Good Friday morning everyone. 

 

Spent time cleaning up the yard this week while the weather has been cooperative.

Still have a few big branches to cut down to size from the last wind storm that passed through.

Forecast calls for a return to the hot humid weather for this weekend so not sure if I'll get it all done.

 

So what's on your weekend agenda?

Got rid of my last batch of rolling pins so that'll be the next project.

Organizing

Finishing up paint work on light pole.

 

 

 

MORE pen barrels got another layer one I want to try with un used knife scales should be a fun one.  Some more test recording as well, I figured if I'm making pens I may as well just record it and keep the video.  Still got a get a decent angle around since I'm recording with me iphone LOL.

Well I'm gluing small pieces on to a big flat board so I can spray on some clear finish. Nothing worse than trying to spray small things when they want to blow over when the spray hits them.. 

After I glue then down then in about 15 minutes they are ready to spray.

Continuing work on cabinet and drawers for carving station. Mounted doors on cabinet yesterday and hope to get drawers in today and start finish on them. After that start carving shell on cabinet door. Ok didn't need the shell just felt like doing it.

More cedar to cut to finish the squirrel houses.  Then onto to 23 rolling pins from pear that has dried enough to turn to round.  Will allow them to dry more before final round.  These are going to our church school as a fund raiser.  Will post pics.  I will give Artie credit before hand.  Shoot, I may even let him show a couple finished products.  :-)  (My Chrome will not allow the emoji's to work.)  :-(  That was a joke about Artie and me winning gouges.  

Got the first two coats of finish on the tool totes.  The end is in sight.

 

The wife asked what was next and my to-do list is running short.  Until this afternoon she gave me two more things that needed done.

Trying to get a July Project done...meh..a little late...

1st coat of varnish is drying, right now...
