July 28, 20206 yr comment_237038 Found this 1/2 inch plane in my tool caddy from an old purchase. Googled "bips" and couldn't find anything. Maybe someone could shed some light on this??? Report
July 28, 20206 yr Popular Post comment_237046 When my dad was an apprentice back in the old country, tradesmen would identify their tools by marking them with the first two letters of their given name, followed by the first two letters of their surname. That's where I got the name "HARO". I wonder if your plane belonged to some Bill Psalter, or whatever. John Report

Dad's name was Johannes, or Hans for short, I was named Hans at birth, but when we immigrated to Canada, someone told us that we should go by John, the English version. I've been Johnny or John ever since, though I never officially changed my name. John Report
