July 11, 20206 yr Thank you, Andrew. I hope this helps somebody. I quit going to the VA many years ago as a Vietnam vet because of poor service. I was told by my doctor last week to go get a hearing test. So, I talked with a doctor at our local VA and he said that the local VA has cut back services. I know many folks get good service, but I am one of a few who get nothing other than "We'll see you next year." Keep it up, Andrew. I look forward to positive posts from others who have been helped by the VA.

Well Gator, VA medical care is a prime example of why we don't want government run health care. All my meds are sent to me by the VA. No complaints on that front. But, my experience with a colonoscopy there, leaves much to be desired. I swear the scope was a redesigned B-29 bomb sight. On the other hand, it was a VA blood test that discovered my prostate cancer. And, it was a VA PA that recommended the laser procedure that eradicated the nasties. There's been a bunch of changes in the past few years that really help us vets living in rural areas. If specialist care is required, we only need a referral to a local provider to obtain services. All in all, I'm semi satisfied with our VA facilities available up here in the boonies.
