I’m in the end stages of quoting a 3’ x 6’ custom hickory island with a butcher block top for a client.  I’ll probably start it next week.  Five of the craftsmen in our church are also going to spend time restyling the stage at church soon.  A couple of years ago I build a walnut cradle for a large farmer in the area and he contacted me tonight asking if I could build another one by mid October.  It was a fun build and really want to build another one.  I’m way too busy for an old retired guy.  Add to the mix the duties of city council and I may have to hire so,me one to sleep for me.

Yep, feast or famine. And remember, no good deed goes unpunished!!

Beautiful cradle 

That is a gorgeous cradle. 

Here’s the funny part.  I’m really pumped about building another cradle.  In fact, when I build one I’ll probably build two.  One walnut and one cherry.  The island doesn’t excite me so much even though there’s more profit in it.
