Jointer knife replacement

Featured Replies

I've been cleaning up an older Jet JJ6-CS jointer that I bought (and paid too much for.)  New belt, new knife set, table and fence waxed.  I had never installed new knives and was checking some sites.  As is often the case, many YouTube videos urged me to buy some great tool.

Then I found this one from FineWoodworking, and it included two of my favorite features - it's cheap and it seems to work.

So, I'm sharing it here for anyone who might need it, while also looking for other helpful pointers that might help do the job better.

Incredible idea and absolutely simple.  I need to do that soon.  Thank you.

I bought this jig long ago.  Works the same but more money.
