First off, I have to admit that I'm partial to this book because I did some assistance with it.   Sue was a local commercial finisher and refinisher (now moved on to a second career).  I conferred with the publishing editor and contributed one of the pieces in the book.

It is a bit different than my other favorite finishing books because Sue takes a number of projects, one chapter each, and explores a different coloring & finishing technique.  Enough pictures so you can see the progress.   You won't panic when you see a bright red piece that in the next step becomes a beautiful mahogany color.

Sue really likes to use glazes and she got me hooked on them as a step in layered coloring.   Layered colors are a great technique and gets you out of the "Oh, my, that turned out a lot different color than I thought it would" panic.   It's not over until the fat lady sings.

It is currently out of print, but used copies are readily available.
