June 1, 20206 yr Have a Black & Decker 7614 router that set idle for a long time. Is in almost new condition. Will turn by hand. But will not start when pressing trigger.
June 1, 20206 yr If you have dirt dobbers in your area this might be the problem....Things I don't use very often I just go ahead and take the time to check and use the air compressor before I ever flip the switch. And sometimes it takes some long skinny prods to loosen them up... I now use plastic bags on stuff not used often...
June 1, 20206 yr Popular Post If in a damp location possible corrosion at contact points. Really to know more you will need to open it up and check for power to trigger and then the wire that goes to motor itself. You can guess all day till you test that far.
June 1, 20206 yr Popular Post Sounds like corrosion on the trigger contacts. If you can fins some contact cleaner spray, it might do the trick.

If I can get my 15 year old daughter through a outlet repair over the phone I figure I am not too bad. I will admit afterwards some alcoholic refreshment was in order.
