With the hot tub out of this 10x12 building I now have a finishing room.  Took down the ceiling fan and installed LED shop lights so we have plenty of light, but no ventilation.  No problem, I built this using storm windows because with a hot tub you don't want expensive windows.  Just something to keep the elements out.  So since you can remove the glass panels for cleaning I decided to remove the upper one in a  corner and designed a box to go through it.  The hole is just large enough for me to be able to use a 16 inch attic fan, plenty of ventilation power with that!  Took me an afternoon to make the box and cut out the front and back panels.  I was deliberate in using alot of screws, I prefer to easily be able to access this if my prototype has issues.  Ya never know and I certainly am not a design engineer expert.

Started with the case.  I braced the thing to death, paid off in the end NO vibration.

Outside and inside case panels.

And after a few days for the paint to cure.  All done and working well.  Installed aluminum screen on the outside to keep the bugs out.

On the inside I used this 1/2 square mesh has a funny name like fabric mess or something.  Either way it will keep fingers safe.

Now if a bug goes in there, oh well welcome to the torture chamber.  :throbbinghead:

Now I am ready for the summer heat.  :D

Considering how thorough all of your work has been, I’m sure you installed an adjustable speed fan, controlled by a software program you designed, so that as the heat reading on the thermostat increases so does the fans CFM’s. (I wrote this tongue in cheek, but I figger it’s 50/50 I’m correct) Nice job.

I did THINK about it.  :ChinScratch:

BUT wait, I did install a LIGHTED switch.  Seems I had one in stock and thought, why not?  :JawDrop:

Looks more like wire cloth to me.   comes in several mesh sizes.   good stuff to have around.

Inside wire is called hardware clothe here.  At least for the past 50 years.  It may have other names in other places.  I talked about grass sacks and here they are called ruck sacks.

That is it, I couldn't remember what it was called.  Have had a large roll for years I use when needed.

This ought to help kick your finishing skills up a notch or two.  I forget, does the finishing room have windows on the opposite wall?

It has 8 ft of windows in two corners. Two on back wall and one on far wall plus the door. Lots of daylight.:D I will post better picture set tonight.
