April 3, 20206 yr Popular Post I had it filled up before the roof got put on... I got less than $400.00 in it so far including the fire wood.
April 4, 20206 yr When I was using wood for heat if I put that many big logs up to dry would never have been able to split it. Oh wait I forgot you have all that heavy Irn, I do like the shed. I did one but did not have posts tall enough so was only about 5 foot at the eve.
April 4, 20206 yr Author I could call this my textile building. The uprights was yarn racks. the 2x4's was creels. The 1 by's was yarn shelf's. The I-beams was also used from a textile factory. I made the 26 foot long 10 X10. The Tin on the ends was pallet flooring. The angle iron was part of a knitting machine. I think almost all textile factorys are closed up in USA now.
April 4, 20206 yr Hmmm, I thought looking at the end there might be a certain community in PA that was minus all their stop signs!
April 4, 20206 yr Author Popular Post The stop sign posts came from the junkyard. Here in Pa. the state was told to remove all sign post that was constructed with this kind of post. The junkyard had thousands of post like this. I bought a few hundred and I wish I would have bought a few thousand. I guess they are not safe if you hit one. The post make great bridge decking. So far I built 9 bridges on my property using these post.
April 5, 20206 yr Now that is a good use of those posts Kevin. Would also work as a cattle guard. I've been wanting to see some of your bridges, thanks for posting those pics up.
April 5, 20206 yr Popular Post Now I think that is just cool. My ancestors started a textile mill near me in the early 1800’s. But from the looks of the building, your going to need a bigger building already! Just like a shop, never big enough!
April 5, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Thats my already my second firewood building. I got 12 more acres of free down wood to cut.

April 6, 20206 yr Really nice roof. Now, that building is rentalable. With all that wood insulation, the utilities should be affordable.
