March 21, 20206 yr It takes about an hour to get to this stage. See all the v shapes, it is to keep the pieces kinda in line and the notches in to other pieces are for the same thing. More learning as I go.

Almost 500 pieces of long 1x4"s and it has been bugging me ever since cause I had to keep it in my shop out of the weather. So now I get to use it making her these frames...
March 21, 20206 yr Author Saturday, so far I have use the 1 x 42" belt sander and the Dremel with 3 bits from Wood Carvers. I will smooth it with some diamond and ruby 1/8" bits then finish up with sand paper. I do believe this is the most enjoyable times I have had in the shop for years. And not using much wood so that's good...
March 23, 20206 yr Author Then the last coat of finish and then attach the pieces to the backer board and hang it on the fire place.. Only place left in the house!!!!!!
