ROS lost it's grip

My old Bosch seems to have stripped the threads that hold the sanding pad. Motor still works but the pad  can't be attached. I've had it for many years, so it's time to replace it with another Bosch. Just ordered the Bosch 3.3 Amp 3725 DEVS. Wish me luck. Since travel to the local Lowes is being restricted by corona, I ordered it from Amazon.  Bosch reduced the price by $20.00. I didn't know that until I went to check out.

Al, can you get a new pad and put in new screws with Loctite?  There used to be another product that was like Metalset, but I can't remember it.  You could put it down in the holes, run in the screws and it would build in the voids between the holders and screws.  Something like acomunpuncture.

I've got a 3735 that I've used for at least 20 years and it's still going strong. Maybe 10 years or so back i bought a PC to have as standby expecting the Bosch to give up the ghost. That PC still hasn't been used, and if this Bosch goes I'll replace it with the current version of the 3725.

My Rigid and a Tiawanese no name brand are still going strong. But both are less than 5 years old.

Good choice Al.  Enjoy your new sander.  Usually a better choice than pooping around trying the right parts to save the old one.
