This thing is not big, 7 inches tall, maybe, but it has some different shaped flower thingy's so I will have to see if I can find some actual pictures of what is needed. Never know how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Good start to what I'm sure will be another masterpiece.

Gene I'm trying to get some help on line with what the flowers and things that are added to make some of the fleur di lis and got nothing but just plain things I been making out of wood for a long time, just the general shapes....but didn't want this thing just general shaped!!! 

so I hate to wing it for the first one like this.....

 

Don't tell me your place has always looked like the realtors pictures with not one thing out of place which does look great so when you guys move we want this new place to look that perfect for years to come..or else we will get the puppy gods to come and give you all a talking to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not gonna lie. We had specific instructions from the realtor on how the house should look. I think she realized that the shop was a lost cause. We've been diligent about keeping the house in the same shape for any more lookie loos.

Here's a great reference book for carving acanthus leaves. Just the design/drawing techniques are worth the price.

Thanks for the info Frederick I'm already too far gone to order a book. I just went by my thinking so it will have to be good for this time.

Next after a clear coat or two the color starts to change.

 Then after I play around with it for a while tomorrow it will probably change color again, here and there. 

I don't know if people are aware that when things people stain or color wood in their building process is usually too exact. In real life things are not that exact so when I'm not in a great hurry I try to replicate nature. So with that said I want you to meet my brother,

   Some of you have voiced dislikes for Microsoft, but me, I can't wait every morning to turn the computer on and see what they have for me to start the day off. I also enjoy the updates for in my mind they are trying to make the computer experience more enjoyable.....We would have to spend thousands just to get the pictures they bring me every morning and then those memories are never as exact as what professionals can capture with their brownies..
