March 4, 20206 yr Popular Post After an absence since October, PopWood is again publishing (or maybe just recycling, if their other posts are any indication) Bob Flexner's finishing articles. https://www.popularwoodworking.com/finishing/finishing-for-beginners/?utm_campaign=PWW Editorial Newsletters&utm_source=hs_email&utm_medium=email&utm_content=84216642&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-_8cDX6QvC5M8BAKBaMuycXRqfbOyspzim3DCO4i8ZHekkUoIHQSn1PH4R7qjIt5Wi8tEI8c2O_zRXFc-mjchM9cPnsGgNql3xiVyKxiGZohTbD3qA&_hsmi=84217373#
April 10, 20206 yr I've noticed that article hasn't changed since it was posted on 2/27....maybe it was a one-time shot kind of thing?
April 16, 20206 yr Author Short-lived, heard this week he is off doing a revision on his book. With the amount of recycled stuff they are posting, I'd take that with a grain of salt. I am not sure he got paid for his recent work for the magazine.
April 16, 20206 yr If he is updating it, I hope he gets a little more in depth on some of the newer waterborne finishes, specifically the "modified oil" waterborne. I had asked him about it through an e mail some years ago and he didn't have a lot to say, indicating it was more of a commercial production product.
May 5, 20206 yr Author Popular Post Happen to catch a spurt of new (or as common with PopWood these days, recycled) columns. But I do not recall having ever seen these three before. Most seem to have been posted in late April. This one here and several more linked at the bottom of the page.
May 6, 20206 yr Bob may have just joined TPW. "A" Bob Flexner was listed as a new member a few days ago...
