Knitting needle storage

My wife is an avid knitter and I had NO idea how many needles she uses. She knits socks and that takes 5 needles. Socks of different yarns take 5 more of a different size. She has needles made of plastic, wood and aluminum, etc. She had no way to store them where she could just reach out and easily get the ones she wants. She designed this storage block to accommodate and sort all of her needles. I made it of Pine and to her specs. There are 12 holes, of each size she uses and are drilled to the depth she wanted.

I used good quality Pine and glued up the block, cut it to specs and drilled. I put a backing under it so it don't slide.........she loves it.

Nice work, saw a need and came up with a solution.

Happy wife happy life!

You got that right!! We've been together for 53 years and whatever she says, is true.

what?  no circular needles?   ^_^

Thought you did a smaller version a couple years ago. Looks like she buys more tools than you do.;)

If he is like me I plan for the extra space and always think that is plenty.  Then 10 minutes AFTER it is all done and I start loading it up, YUP probably should have doubled that space.  :BangingHead:
