Just almost like having a baby but don't take forever to see your results.

 

I posted this earlier this morning but it wasn't the pictures I meant to post...This one is and it has more coats of clear and will make it look smoother than it actually is. If you put enough coats you can almost look like a professional wood carver. 

  I had some blue mixed in to the color but after I got through staining the wood and was pouring the stain back in to its original container there on the bottom of the can was all that blue stuff. It was a different type of stain and I never done this before so I just assumed... I got a little carried away adding some height to the original slab of maple but then I couldn't figure out what to do with the extra wood...and I did add some height to the dial over what the original looked like.. Just still experimenting on what will work and what won't...

 

  It is about 23" long or more.

I have run out of adjectives, beautiful.

Looks good Jesse.  Have you figured out how many more of your carvings and jig-saw puzzle pictures you can make before you run out of wall space in your home?

Same here.

I glued a few extra pieces to the height in places to gain something? I'm still learning how to change out of the ordinary. 

I seem to think more height differences from piece to piece is what it takes. Like it makes ones eyes never stop moving over the piece??

You are right about that Jess, and simply beautiful.

It is like the clock is extremely secondary as it hardly gets a glance
