Found this today, think I am going to give this a try but with a laminated  build instead of a solid chunk of wood.

    I was amazed with his choice of wood for this.  It was so dry and punky.  Chip out isn't a good enough word for what was going on here.  Saw dust was a flying.

    Yeah I intend to use some better wood to make mine. Probably glue up a laminate blank.
