Any body off hand remember the height of 8"  dados on a unisaw? I'm use to the 10"  Amana at work don't know on my 8" ...

I think I'll paint this one blue,silver and white for the Dallas Cowboys. No Chief fans in my play room...

 

I would guess one inch less than what the 10" is.  5"DIA - 4"DIA = 1"Dia less.

I originally thought the shelf was around 5-6 deep but it's actually only 4" ...2"  shouldn't be a problrm. 

 

Not sure if the sawstop and unisaw are the same when it comes to depth. Thx.?

 

I take that back I used the Altendorf, sawed two sides and chiseled out with the slidr...

Lil cold in the shop but manageable....

Had to set the saw. Out of square...

 

I guess the 8" dado worked.  Looks great.

Yeah it was only 4" deep. I actuallythought it was 6"

 

I know these seem like craft projects from the 80's but I always enjoyed making this stuff. Back in the day   1x12 yellow pine was 50 cents a foot and being raised in Alabama antiques and crafts just go together.. Back then every inch was uusable some how... Bigger projects coming, more shop cleaning and hopefully more interest...thx

Billy, as you know, that is very important for you today. That right there, is what is going to cheer you up, then do it! Forget the big stuff, make the smaller crafts that you enjoy, and if you want to make some extra pocket money with it all, I think you can.

Shop,fishing and poker are my  vacation getaways . Anyone of these will completely eleminate stress for me. Woodworking comes easy but here lately I tend to be lazy.. lot of movement in my subdivision during the summer with yard sales. I may test the waters here at home and see if the crafts draw anybody. Just have to find some things to build....

It may seem obvious, but I swear, whenever cutting boards are made, they sell! Just an idea.
