February 10, 20206 yr Popular Post A friend wanted a Spice Rack for her "disorganized" food pantry Alot of satisfaction using only hand tools I get alot of flack about the old tools I buy refurb to use My comment is always the same "I prefer my hand tools are older than me" I have a winter shop downstairs and a unheated (right now) summer shop Power tools are in the summer shop and it's cold in Kansas right now Alot can be said about the advantages of using only hand tools lfor the Spice Rack Alot less mess chance to hone my skills and rewarding when the project is finished Not alot of hours in this nice to take on simple projects that don't hurt my brain as much Enjoying the forums everyone lots of good info Thanks , Craig
February 10, 20206 yr A great looking project CDave. And a word about using your hand tools... don't expect much flack here. We all appreciate them, whether we use them or not

February 10, 20206 yr Looks good. Like Cal said those that don't use them, or don't use much, we still appreciate anything made of wood.
February 10, 20206 yr I'm sure it will be very functional and it looks attractive for a spice rack. Thanks for sharing. Danl
February 15, 20206 yr Can’t speak for the entire group but can I relate to the “flack” received as I have been laughed at more than once for buying my old hand saws, chisels, and planes. I like to believe that those who will not or cannot learn to use the handtools are the ones that like to taunt the most. Keep on “chugging.” Your work is looking good and we support you! Lol! Personally, I am still a long way from proficient with my hand tools but for me, that’s half the fun!
