January 11, 20206 yr Hello to all. I have been a custom woodworker for 40 years and love my old machines. I am currently re-assembling an old Cresent multitool and looking for some help with the basics of the machine. I am not sure about the rpm specifics at the main shaft as I assume it was originally run on a line shaft wide belt set-up. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ray
January 11, 20206 yr Are you referring to one of these???? One of our members that we don't see much anymore rebuilt one (may have been tehe one in the photo) But we might be able to figure out how to get you in touch with him (Shane Whitfield, I think, was his name) BTW, Welcome to the forum.
January 11, 20206 yr Hi Ray, The photo Fred referred to is indeed the Crescent Universal Woodworker that Shane Whitlock restored. Here is a link to Shane's first post here, and his introduction to the machine. And his restoration of the machines.
