In the Marine Corps they Navajo code talkers are revered. It is taught in knowledge classes. Before that though never heard of them in school. Seems we never got past the Civil War. Here in the South that still seems to be a sore point. Got more education from being in the Marines and traveling the world. My Ukrainian wife is a Gold mine of new and interesting stuff from history we never hear about. Artie, FlGatorwood, p_toad and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post Gene Howe Posted January 11, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted January 11, 2020 Living up here and having worked many years with various Native populations, I can assure you that they know their warrior history. Both past and present warriors are revered. Veteran's Day is a really big deal around these parts. Artie, hatuffej, Cal and 3 others 6 Quote
