December 9, 20196 yr Popular Post The tulip turning project had to be put on hold for a week while I get the house ready for an appraisal on Friday. We had one bookshelf/cabinet to get in and so we completed that while still keeping the roof for the garden window project moving forward. I still have to make the zebra wood moulding for the top of the bookshelf but that can wait until after the appraisal. Paul
December 9, 20196 yr Just now, Gene Howe said: Hey, Paul. You moving? BTW, I added a couple tags to your topic. Please add more of your own to better identify your topic so it's easier to find for someone searching for info about cabinets. We definitely want folks to be able to find examples of your beautiful work.
December 9, 20196 yr Author Popular Post Thank you for adding those tags Gene. I’m still trying to figure the forum out. Nope. Not moving. This is my final house. The appraisal is so I can fold the doors/ windows, solar and pool equipment into a final loan. With interest rates so low my house payment will actually go down even with the add ons. Choosing to do this house in Art Deco is a big deviation for both of us. From the woodworking side this is one of the biggest challenges I have had. Paul

December 14, 20196 yr Author Popular Post We had to put off the appraisal until Monday due to delays. Andersen finally got all the doors set and now it’s up to us to do the case work. I managed to get one door done yesterday In order to get the wife’s approval on the moulding. Each piece of moulding takes five router bits and six passes to make but she is happy with the end product. All of the blank material is milled except for the final pass through the table saw. Paul
January 4, 20206 yr Author Popular Post So holiday time over. Back to the woodworking ! Today was limited shop time but did get the upper trim for the bookcase glued up. And then there was this guy who asked “ why do you have so many clamps ?”. Tomorrow I will run it through the planer, add a round over and get it up. Paul
January 6, 20206 yr Author Popular Post It is done. One project down and only a thousand more to do 😎 Paul
January 6, 20206 yr Again, great work all around, Paul. And, I love that old Leica camera on the bookcase.
