I once installed a ripping blade facing the wrong way on the Shopsmith. It did cut, but only in a manner of speaking LOL. I did realize something was wrong before a 1/4 inch of cutting. :(

I'm a whole lot better at detecting when I leave the lathe in reverse than I used to be.
