November 25, 20196 yr Popular Post I got a call out of the blue last week from a maintenance guy at a local school system. They're demolishing the current building starting today and had a few tools that would become landfill if no one wanted them. I got in touch with the theater group and got them picked up yesterday. A vintage Unisaw, small jointer, Walker-Turner floor model drill press and a less-vintage Craftsman band saw. All free for the taking. All look to be in good shape.

November 25, 20196 yr Popular Post You lucky devil! Great haul and, as Gunny said, our favorite price, to boot.
November 25, 20196 yr Popular Post The saw looks like mine except I have the original switch. The motor looks like it may be a newer model. Do you have a serial number? If so, you can get the year of manufacture.

November 26, 20196 yr That Art Deco switch plate is work some serious money because it is pristine. The motor looks like it’s been changed though. Mine is a 1947 and the switch plate and front access door have that Art Deco look like yours. My motor is the older bullet shaped motor. This one isn’t mine but I was too lazy to walk to the shop.
November 26, 20196 yr Nice score Keith. Depending on the age the SN would be either on the angle gage, or on a tag with the full model # that looks like the one on the rear of the jointer. Edited November 26, 20196 yr by Larry Buskirk
