October 14, 20196 yr Popular Post As you may know, I built a very nice grandfather clock with a traditional mechanical mechanism. After about 10 years I had problems with that mechanism. It turns out that the company that made it had gone out of business a few years before I installed it. I made the decision to go electronic, it is something I can handle without altering the whole clock enclosure to accommodate a different mechanism. I got it installed, not fully adjusted and had a medical emergency that lasted nearly a month. My wife had a brain aneurysm. She has recovered and doing fine. Today I visited my daughters home, where the clock is. It sounded great as I watched the football game in the next room. Only a very experienced clock person could tell the difference. I am very pleased with the outcome and so is my daughter.
October 15, 20196 yr Glad to hear the Missus is doing well. I had no doubts about you’re making the clock work as designed.
