having to replace batteries

Featured Replies

After building these they have resided quietly on the wall till they needed batteries..  Got them down and laid them on the table so I could replace the double A's and I just now realize the way I build these things they warp.  ….. You see I use a 1/4" piece of BB as a backer board for all the pieces to get lots of glue to make them one piece again...IMG_20190929_092011588.jpg.d1d60436e0a082808e458e36405689f2.jpg

Each side of the larger one is at least 1/4" and probably 5/16" off the table..

Maybe no one will ever notice...Oh and did I mention there are no double A batteries in this house. This is the first time in 58 or more years I can't find any Double A's.

Nobody will notice besides all of us now that you said something.   You won't be able to see it while they are hanging.   Now what about the pecans ?    Roly

I don't think anyone will ever notice, I can't make it out in the photos. :BugEyeSmiley:

Roly 20 years ago when we moved to our retiree state of mind we bought 10 bearing sized pecan trees and really never got many pecans after the squirrels and blue jays got their fill. So finally year before last I started trapping the squirrels and found them a new home about ten miles from here. Now our deep freeze and an extra fridge stay full of them plus my daughter still brings us a large bag of shelled pecans from a pecan factory tween here and Austin...every time she comes to see us.....no no I never tell her we have enough pecans...  It did take me a little while to out smart the birds so I would still have pecans left for the squirrels. I did make this screen wire removeable for the squirrels so they would travel to their new stomping grounds with a full belly..IMG_2312.JPG.5864de10b1c4f1fdfec0411ed50811e4.JPG

For a while I would go out to the trap and no food and no squirrels then I got to sitting and watching so the reason for the screen wire..
