I got another idea for an ornament using offset angles and Purple Heart burn.  You can see the angled body with purple heart cross going thru it. After seeing the video of a guy heating purple  heart to make it turn dark purple, I thought I'd try heat friction color. It worked ok, but was kind of streaked. However the streaks produced their own beauty. I used some gold colored jewelry to embellish it a bit. One thing I did not count on.........the heat made a separation crack open on both sides. Never had that happen before. .

 l'm still going to try the torch heat........someday.

That top is fabulous with the cross and the star.

Now to do one with the cross upwright.

I don't know how you did that Ron, but the results are spectacular!
