May 21, 20197 yr Popular Post was started this morning...cussing was involved,BTW Ummm, yeah...and..just me doing the assembly work... to turn this pile of parts With blister packs of hardware...into a Gazebo for the grill...took a while, just to make a square frame.. was a bit easier to do, on the concrete slab....didn't want to lose anything in the grass...finally, had the Boss help move it a bit, to where the "rafters" could be added.. And add that fancy basket...old gazebo is going to be set inside the black shed, with shelves added...when Grandson #3 gets off work, he and I will finish this job... I hope. needs the toppers added. And the anchors driven into the ground. I need a nap.. Stay tuned...
June 14, 20197 yr Author Honey-dos...never end...the Boss went out and bought an "Umbrella" to use on the new front porch.....needed a high tech way to drill a hole.. Pexto # 8012, 12" sweep brace..with a Craftsman Expansive bit.. Adjusted to match the diameter of the "cap". Works great...until the thread "snail" runs out of the wood, and the bit stops cutting....small chisel the knock the remaining "washer" of wood out the bottom.....then install the umbrella's post.. Added a wire tie to hold this to the post...may replace with a couple screws..later. We can crank to open it, or crank to close it up( when the winds get too high..) as need be. Afraid to ask what is next...
