So my year has started with a bang. But wanted to drop in and see what everyone has been up to! Such beautiful projects every where I look!   All of you are creative and inspiring!  I have no projects to share as have been excessively busy with many things. But love to see all the projects!  I know however that when I finally can get back in my shop I will have tons of creative works to pull from!

Hey, good to hear from you, Lissa. What's been happening in your life?

Hello Lissa. I recommend that you go out into your shop on a regular basis, measure and mark a 1" cut on a piece of scrap wood and make the cut. It keeps you connected. :D

Hi, Lissa! Good to know you still think of us once in a while. Looking forward to seeing your next project!!

I have some experience in how difficult it can be to get shop time.  Join us when you can, keep a corner of your mind open, and planning projects.

Well some is that while chopping up wood from trees that fell from hurricane Florence I fell on a log and broke four ribs and separated my sternum. It was a truly evil log lol. Before that had 2 months worth of pneumonia. Now I am training with a new service dog named Hudson. Which requires traveling. Also tearing up a dock for my Uncle that Hurricane Florence destroyed. However a lot of the wood is still good and he does not wish to rebuild it so I plan on repurposing the good wood for a small screened in front porch. So been crazy to say the least. The good thing is while I was on the mend it did give me time to think on projects I would like to try and or improve on projects I do for the service dog agency that helps me. During my training we were able to to see what will be their new facility which will include many feature for clients in which includes veterans, their children and first responders. It will have rooms for clients to stay while visiting for training, wood working, metal working shops as well! I have been asked to help with the woodworking aspect! So truly excited about that!

Lissa, I am so sorry to hear about your injuries and illness. I've done the rib thing before, and I know it severely limits your movements. Hang in there! :Cheer:

Thanks for checking in and bringing us up to date Lissa.  Sounds like there are a lot more positive things than negative going on for you.  Hope you will be able to make some shop time soon.

Lissa, so good to see you posting again.  Like the others have said, I am so sorry for your mishaps, but I hope recovery is quickly on the way.
