Universal Fence Clamps

Featured Replies

Looking to buy some universal fence clamps.  They look pretty much the same.  Looking for brand recommendations.  Thank You.

Mine are powertec. IIRC, they came from Amazon. As you say, online, they all look about the same.

As with Gene, I usually shop online, check prices and read the customer reviews. Then when I find what I like I search for it locally. I almost always buy local.

Lew, here are the Powertecs. I can't figger out how yours do the same task.

The first picture shows the ones that fit over the ends of the fence (2 of these) the second picture is the one that fits over the center of the fence. They are custom sized to work on my Vega fence. Also, the aux. fence is quite tall so they attach thru the aux. fence

Lew, you are not cheap, you are frugal. Cheap is considered a vice, frugal is considered a virtue.

I like to buy local too.  Sometimes ya just can't find the stuff locally because the Online sites have put some of the locals out of business.

I was thinking home made and I saw where somebody had cut a rectangular U clamp in half and made his own.

I have a couple that look just like those pictured in Gene's post, except the're painted blue. Mine were purchased from Rockler .

Aha. Now I get it. Couldn't get my mind wrapped around what my eyes saw.

At less than $10 a set, these were a good buy. But, without some modification of the attaching aux. board, they wouldn't work for a high fence.  My use is to hold aux. boards to bury my dado blades or rip blade, for jointing edges.

I ordered them from Amazon.  They arrived this morning.
