March 20, 20197 yr During the Vietnam War, the American Forces Vietnam Network provided U.S. military personnel and civilians with a valuable link with home - namely a Top 40 radio station that could be heard all over the theatre of war in southeast Asia. AFVN provided news from home, information for servicemen and civilians alike, plus Top 40 music just like you might hear on your local radio station back home. This valuable morale booster was heard in bases, helicopters, ships, cockpits, even on battlefields. The 24-hour service was manned around the clock by hundreds of U.S. military personnel and civilians. http://rockradioscrapbook.ca/afvn.html
