I'm still using the original SandCat. Great little sander. May have to add this one to the stable.

Too bad someone don't have a 4 x 24" belt sander for close to that price. It is easier to control and will keep things flatter. I have both sizes but never use the smaller one for flat surface sanding.

I just recently bought the WEN 18x3 1/2 for $30 because it came with bench mount clamps and I use it as a stationary sander. It’s on the WEN website under “hot deals” it’s not bad, works great with some 120 or 220 grit to smooth things out and knock off edges.

At Amazon, consider the 4-pack.

For non pro work WEN holds up pretty well.  Have several and have yet to kill them.  Thinking about getting the Benchtop 12 inch VS drill press as my 2nd Drill press in shop

Well if you have 1, what can having 3 more hurt??? 

I still use my Craftsman that is about 35 years old.  It is heavy and a work horse.  Someday, I may get a lighter one.

Same here, mine is about 25 years old and in good condition.  I have a hard time getting a new one when the old one still works well.
