Ornament of pieces

You won't believe this. It is the honest to God truth. I have nearly completed this piece 7 times. Each time I have it in the final stages..............I dropped it on the cement floor.

Yes, it broke in two pieces three times and each time it also had chips of the hard carbonate fly into never, never land. I reassembled it again last night, minus the chips. I filled in the missing places with glitter. Yesterday It looked great, so I took it to the lathe for polishing. It looks great and I dropped this glass shinny and extremely smooth thing again. I nearly gave up then remembered the blue light glue. The one that only hardens with the ultraviolet light. It seemed to work good.

Its been so cold that I couldn't apply a finish in my unheated garage. So I made a paint chamber out of a box and a small electric heater. I warmed up the spray can too. See photo

Its done, has places I'd like fix to but and I am afraid to touch it again, I have no doubt that someone will drop it and it will break.

It looks good, from a distance of 3 feet:D

What missing pieces? cannot see a flaw in this. Good one

Looks good to me Ron. The final outcome is what matters and this one turned out well.

Steve

I like it.

Excellent, despite all issues in getting it completed.

Beautiful piece Ron.

Worth the effort!  Beautiful!

I don’t see any flaws either. 😊

Your luck sounds about like mine though, I remember a plate that I tried to do several years ago that broke 3 times before I gave up and trashed it.

Looks good to me!!

Great job!!
