I gave an ornament to a girl that works at my favorite "lounge", yeah it's a bar.  She asked how I made this years bulbs and I told her they started out as pieces of dowel rod.  Turns out her new boyfriend works for a local millwork.  She brought me a sampling of what he brings home to burn in the fireplace.

 

 

Mostly Oak 1 1/4" up to 2 1/2".  Most of the larger ones are glue ups but I'll take it.

As long as the food is good; My guess it is.

BTW, great score. Not only do you get turning stock ready to go, but you get a supply of plugs, pegs and the like.

I told them to come and get a load from my yard.  See Below.  They said not necessary but will continue to bring me some.
