January 11, 20197 yr Popular Post Just picked up my brand new Saw Stop Contractor saw with 36" fence and mobile base from the Woodcraft Store in Franklin TN which was about 90 minutes from my home in Bowling Green KY. They had it all on a pallet and fork lifted it up so I could get it slid into the truck bed. Once I got home I got got out all the boxes into the garage. Then the big job was to get the saw itself out of the truck. So I cut up the box and all the Styrofoam and was able get the saw out and put on a box and rolled it in. So later today I will get started on getting the saw set up.

Probably too late but hope you picked up a can of Johnson's Wax too. It would be good to wax as much of it as you can during assembly and certainly a good coating after assembly. You're in a much more humid climate than you've been used to, so on-going preservation is a must. Spring to Fall in KY can be pretty miserable humidity wise so something to consider. Pics when it's assembled are mandatory too...any left-over parts can simply be covered for the photo shoot until you figure out where they should have gone. Follow the assembly instructions in case of emergency.

I will be picking up a can of the wax today.
January 12, 20197 yr Congrats Allen! A great saw! Hoping to to hear your reviews once you get her all fired up and making dust, thanks Allen!
January 12, 20197 yr Congrats on the saw Allen, time to make some sawdust now! btw - has your garage floor been sealed? It kinda looks like it. If it hasn't it might be worth it to do before you get your whole shop up & running.
