Mad these at the request of a good friend.  His wife always complains her glass is empty at the wrong time.  He and I worked together in Iraq and enjoy a  good cigar.  Made one long blank and glued up several types of wood.  Then cut at 7 degrees and put a different set of strips across so it looks bent.  Found a flower vase and thought this is perfect so made the base to match that.  Joke is once your toasted you can argue if it is bent or not.  The ashtray is leftovers and a pulley from a car at work.  Inset with a piece of ceramic tile.

Cool idea on the ashtray. I've seen a couple made from salvaged cartridges from MK-4 hedgehogs.

Nice!  I love the reuse of materials.  Ashtray makes me wish I still smoked.  Well almost. 

Couple nice projects and a great use of a leftover piece of wood.

If I had a nice ashtray like the Woodbutcher made I wouldn't mind smoking one of those Swisher Sweets cigars.
