Went to do a glue up this evening and pulled out my hole saw cut offs.  When putting them away I wondered if anyone else saved these.  While we use forstner bits and such some more general carpentry projects require a hole saw.  As a kid I would collect them and make wheels for stuff.  Now, well they make a great spacer that is not square when that is what you need.

 

Maybe not a great tip but cut offs can be extremely useful.  IF you have them stored, and IF you can remember where you put them last.

 

 

 

They make great glue blocks for small turnings

I save mine too and quite often use them for hand wheels on jigs and other things. They do make good wheels too on occasion.

Also keep some handy for a template for scribing corner rounding.

They are handy for feet for shop cabinets.
