Ordering a battery for camera online

I needed to order a battery for a camera my daughter gave me over ten years ago needed a battery so I got online and found a great buy much cheaper than the 35.50 for an exact replacement battery. After about ten pictures the battery needed recharging...It was a no name battery from ??

Same thing happened today only now you gotta watch for they now have the almost exact numbers and the picture of the battery is the original picture of a canon battery that came with the camera...

The exact battery is still 35.46 from walmart...

This is almost exactly what I went through ten years ago or longer and it is still going on today.

Then I found the same battery picture with almost the same numbers for 7.99 and freight paid through the walmart site.IMG_1338.JPG.6c65298149f07a9956abc7a737d892e6.JPG

This is what I ordered or something like this and when I got the battery it was not a canon battery and had to be recharged way too often.. And like then it was too big of a hassle to bring it up with someone and I still have that battery as a back up...The 7.99 battery is not being shipped from walmart and this is what I have run into going through Amazon . I think I order one thing and got something close so guys be aware....I quit using the fake battery for I was afraid it might start leaking acid inside the camera and cost a bundle to put back right.

Even the serial numbers is close enough maybe most people stop reading the numbers before they get to the end ...The serial number is not showing on the battery but all the writing is exactly on both batteries.

Just take your time when ordering on line and make sure everything is what you think you are getting...

Out here it's Batteries Plus. Took my little Minolta in and in less than 5 minutes, he had the old battery out and the new one installed. He didn't want the old one and it still didn't cost me a core charge. ^_^

Makes me glad my old Kodak uses 2 AA batteries.

I can get a lot of Duracell's for what some of those camera batteries cost.

I hope you are not talking about the Kodak that uses the roll of film and they didn't use batteries anyway.. But wait, my wife has a digital Kodak.  They also have quit making digital cameras.

Miss the old Radio Shack...they had or could get quality OEM like batteries for much less OEM's. Got some for my old digital camera and also for our landline phones.

Batteries Plus "bulbs" now usually has replacements for most anything but I've found them to be rather pricey on anything I needed. However they usually are a higher mAh rating than the originals.

No, its an EasyShare CD14 digital.

It was given to me by one of my best friends widow when he passed away.

I had to get a card reader, W10 doesn't play well with the camera.

I didn't mind, the batteries last longer now that I don't have to power it up to retrieve photos.

Jesse, I buy my camera equipment on line from B&H Photo and have always had good luck . They sell an off market battery NB-4L replacement for the Canon manufactured by Watson for $9.99.While my camera doesn't use this battery, the customer reviews for this battery look good. The Canon version almost $48.00

I bought a Canon Power Shot SX60HS with 65 optical zoom about 4 years ago and it has a special battery. I know some digitals use a lot of power and I wanted a back up battery. Canon

wanted about $26 for a new one. I got a price of about $8 from a different source, so I ordered 2 and still saved $8 from Canon's price. It pays to shop. Especially Amazon with free shipping. I have noticed a lot more items available there, if you can't compete, join the parade.

I get batteries for my Canon EOS rebel from a place I can no longer find but this is another I have read good stuff about . https://www.batteryjunction.com/index.asp
