Holiday sales timing

Featured Replies

Drawing on your own personal experience---- do the major electric hand tool manufactures put their wares on sale (with decent prices) for the season? If so what time frame?? Black Friday? Electronic Monday?  Some other day? All season?

10% off isn't a "sale" to me--it just covers sales tax at best.

I'm PROBABLY going to need to replace my Hitachi router-- starting to sound like a bearing is drying up. Will be looking at the Bosch kit b/c it appears to plunge smoothly.

The Black Friday sales have been pretty good for me. In the meantime, check out these deals from CPO. I've bought several tools from them, including Bosch routers, and all have been excellent.

I generally find, that, the holiday sales are not all that great. Sometimes if you shop around you find as good or better deal on a product all year long.

...and I agree, 10% is not a sale.

I agree with Gene & Bill, Smitty...Personally, I've seen better prices/deals at least at HD in the spring. Any significant sales this time of a year are typically "store leader sales" designed to draw you in and purchase items not on sale or minimal mark-down. The leader items typically are something that appeals to the masses driving traffic volume versus specific market niches.

I've also purchased a few items from CPO with excellent results & CS.
