My lucky day

I recently was in my wallet looking for my health card when I discovered a HD gift card from last Christmas for $25. I went to HD and as I got out of my truck I saw a battered up gift card that had been run over and I knew it was tossed. I took it in and found out it still had $18 on it.

Back in 1017 I made the two mascot plaques for a couple of my nieces. (see pictures) In return they they sent me a bag of goodies. My wife uses the cloth bag for storing yarn. Yesterday she said,"What are these doing here?" and pulled out of a tiny pocket on the side, a $20 bill and a HD gift card for $50.

So today I went to HD, I need to replace my Diablo 10" table saw blade. They are around $40. I really like these blades, smooth cuts both ways. As luck would have it, they now have their Christmas tools out. There I found 2 of the blades in one packet for about the price of one. (10% veterans discount included) It cost me an extra $5 and I still have my $50 gift card:1470248276_throbbinghead:

My wife said I am on a roll and to play the lotto:Laughing:

I agree with her...but it's too late to win the big jackpots.

Don't worry Fred, more suckers will jump and spend their grocery money for those 4,000,000,000 to 1 odds all day long....

Can I rub your head for good luck Ron?

If it was not for bad luck I would have no luck at all.  LOL

Maybe not so lucky, I installed one of the new blades and it did not cut as smoothly as the old one I took off. Tomorrow I will try the other one, if it does the same, I will take them back. Prob more China rip off junk.

Is this the Zen master saying "we'll see"?

I would say that some folks get all the luck... but then, I found a dime in the Ace parking lot the other day:)  As I see it, that will pay the tax on some one dollar purchase and still have 2 cents I can add to someone's post here!

There are likely some good saw blades from China. But the best are from Japan and...they ain't red.^_^

Read the reviews here.

yesterday, it appeared we had a water leak that i could not find, the pressure pump kept cycling every 2 minutes.  all day long.

this morning, after i get my shower, that stopped.  pump is not cycling, pressure gage says system is holding pressure.

i'm calling that a win!

problem solved itself, and it didn't cost me a dime.  yay.

I found my blade problem.............me.  I installed the second new blade and when I did I realized I had not fully tightened the first blade with 2 flat wrenches. I Know that makes a difference. The blades cut now as smooth as ever. In the past with other blades it became self tightening as I cut. This blade is smooth and slipped slightly.

Don't you hate it when that happens.......

Maybe just send me a lock of your hair...I don't want to rob you of all your luck, just want to see if it can be cloned through osmosis.:P

Dang, I was looking for a donor too. Mine has vacated the premises also. I suspect Russian hackers are involved.
