November 1, 20187 yr I'm at it again, this time I used the darker ply. I wasn't sure about the lower part, so I used some exotic scrap. This was to be a gift for my daughter. When my wife saw it, she vetoed that and said "that one is mine"

November 1, 20187 yr Author As it turned out, the piece in the middle just barely fit and would fall out with little effort. I was going thru ideas, like making a piece to put a hook on when I remembered how effective Goop is. I used a jewelers screwdriver to put a tiny amount of Goop on each side. I inserted the piece and waited all night to see if it would hold. It did really well, I know because I had to take it out, it had moved after I inserted it and was not straight. It was difficult because the piece is so fragile.
