I start almost everything I do on a woodworm screw. I have had 2 Oneway screws break and the Vicmarc screw does not look beefy enough for me so I never even tried it. I have been using the same Nova woodworm screw in my Nova chucks for 20 years whether it is a 3" or 16" bowl or platter or other object. I have at least 18 of the Nova screws but have only needed 1 all these years. I usually have to take the piece out of the chuck and use water pump pliers to get the screw out of the wood it holds so tight.
